Editor's Note...

Dear Friends,

A very special thank you to all those who encouraged me to send out a monthly newsletter. I have been putting this off for sometime now. It's extra work, and I'm basically lazy, my site has grown, and I have a little as well, so it's time to get with the times. This is my first attempt, so please don't be too hard on me. I would appreciate any comments you would have. They don't have to all be glowing, but I do appreciate constructive criticism.

To reward those that sign up for it, I am giving away my most coveted 7 book email course on empowerment, more on this below.

This newsletter will feature some of my best articles that  will not   be available on my home site. "Roy Bits," is a weekly inspirational article that is my most cherished and popular column on the site, it will now appear in this newsletter ever month, plus additional special articles, from time to time.

I will be surfing the net as always looking for great articles by a variety of best New Age authors and they will be published in this newsletter. Watch for them, I will have personally read every one, so they will not just be tossed in to take up space. They will be chosen for quality.

Keep this premier issue in a safe place. At sometime in the future I will be recalling some of them and offering a special reward. It is my intention to bring to you as much good information as possible, so that you will be able to empower yourself to become the grandest version of the greatest vision ever you had about who you are. May your life be filled with love, abundance and happiness for the time that you are in this place. Live well and prosper.

Everyday Spirituality

Spiritual beings are what we are naturally. Being spiritual is not specifically about being good or bad, greedy or generous, religious or agnostic. It’s about being all that stuff. We are being ourselves in spirit simply by our existence. I have said in the past, that I am not very spiritual, that is an incorrect statement, there is no other way that I can be.

A rapist, a murderer, or arsonist, are just a spiritual as I am, or a priest, a good Samaritan, a baby or yourself. There are not even higher or lower states of spirituality. There is only spirituality. There are different levels of awareness of one’s spirituality, therein lies the difference. You can not be spiritual, you already are. The spirit manifests in the physical world through you, to experience itself with the 5 physical senses. Your relationship with your spirit and your environment is what you call spirituality. Whatever activity the spirit is involved with, through you is being spiritual, regardless of whether you consider it good or bad.

Each of us is here with purpose, and that is to serve the spirit, so that it may know itself experientially through you. Your body is the vehicle of the spirit. As we are all interconnected, we collectively experience the physical world in all its aspects in more than 5.6 billion ways (earth’s population), in a relative arena of good and evil, happy and sad, feast and famine, wealth and poverty and in infinite pairs of opposites.

How we are effected by the relationships between how we see ourselves and others is dependent on our individual thoughts about it. If we see only violence, hunger and disaster, then we may experience our life as a living hell and that will be our experience. If on the other hand, we see nothing but angels, in love, joy and happiness, our earthly experience, may be that of heaven, and we will have very little notice of the other, and virtually unaffected by it. As our awareness grows, we begin to understand the differences and their importance, we can see the appropriateness of the actions of others and accept that they are acting in a way that is consistent with what their spirit wishes to experience at the time. Therefore it would be inappropriate to judge another, because we are not aware of their spiritual purpose, and what the spirit wants to experience. Given the model of the world that each of us holds, there are no actions that are inappropriate, except in the "judgment of man."

You may ask, how can we ignore what’s going on around us. Quit simple, what is going on around us is not the same as what is going around you. Our worlds could never be the same, because we are not the same, are perspectives and thoughts are not the same. Our interpretations are different.

One person interprets a half bottle of water as half full, while the other sees it has half empty, and still another sees only the left over food in the refrigerator beside it, because he is hungry, not thirsty. All are correct in their judgments, but each of their judgments are effected by different thought processes.

The beloved wife and family of a serial killer, would look differently at him, than that of his victims. This is the man that brings love and support into the family. They have a different perspective, and from that perspective, they would accurately describe the man, in their terms. The other side of his experience, does not exist for those that see him in loving eyes.

I am reminded here of a short story I read some time ago.

A man was following behind a slow driver in his car, and he was becoming very annoyed. There was nothing he could do to speed up the driver in front of him, who seemed to be oblivious to the traffic that has backed up behind him. He began to think of all kinds of names for him, and was looking for the zap button on the dash to make him disappear. The parade went on for several blocks before the man in the lead car finally turn off into a side street, and that took a long time as well. The man following also turned off and as he  finally managed to pass the car, he turned briefly to glare at the slow driver. As he did so, he noticed that the old guy in the car was one of his neighbours that lived several doors down from him. He was a nice old man and had not been seen in the neighbourhood for some time. He had worried that something might have happened to him, and was relieved to see that he was still alive and mobile. The man forgot all about the slow driving and smiled at the old guy and gave him a hearty wave. As he drove along, he felt good that he had seen him and was able to get his attention. Any thoughts about his driving had been forgotten. His new thought was for the old man’s welfare and that brought relief when he seen that his was ok.

The event had not changed, but the sponsoring thought behind the man’s impatience had. Emotions always follow thought. Not the other way around as many suspect. The impatient driver observed a slow driver in front of him that surely must be a "jerk," and he became angry. Jerk equals angry. He then observed a good respected neighbor, that he had been concerned about, his emotion turned to relief and happiness. Not because the event didn’t happen, but because he managed to change his thought about it. It became a non issue.

Thought, emotion and judgment... slow driver, impatience, jerk! Control your thoughts and you will control your judgments and emotions.

The joy in your life is demonstrated, by the ease in which you move through it.

Little Things - by Donald Schnell

What a week this is going to be, right?

Opportunities, ideas, new ways of looking at things...

You create your Spiritual Success today!

Spiritual Success? This is the success you achieve from following spiritual principles to happiness that lead to your worldly and spiritual success.

Your success begins with LITTLE THINGS

Almost twenty years ago, I remember wanting some chicken. So I ordered a salad and some broiled chicken. When the salad came, I added the chicken to the salad creating my first main course salad. I learned this healthy idea from Marilyn Diamond's bestseller, Fit for Life. A thought occurred to me . . .

Most people don't do that.

The thought of adding "high water content foods" to their meals is ridiculous to most people... Or not eating until they explode...

So they buy all kinds of diet books and join a health club, hire a personal trainer but still don't drop any weight.

Before I go any further, this discussion isn't about weight loss or exercise...

.... It's about doing little things to reach your spiritual success… your enlightenment.

Clients always want to know how they can be more effective. Well, once you're pointed in the right direction, it comes down to little tiny decisions that on their own don't seem like they make a bit of difference. Like putting your chicken in your salad and not having any bread or carbohydrates with the meal.

Does one main course salad make such a huge difference in your health?

Of course not.

But you've got to keep the big picture in mind & keep it BIG!

You know the old metaphor about the tree that took a thousand swipes with the axe to be felled? The big question is which blow knocked down the tree, the 1,000th or the 999 before it? Or the many before that? Which weakened it enough?

You can't get where you're going without taking each and every step. It's the little things you do each day that make a difference. That's why I call this Enlightenment 101. It's easy. Just take the little steps.

This is the key to Spiritual Enlightenment. What are the little things you can do today, or this week that will make your life richer? One thing is certain; you are going to arrive to the end of your week. It is up to you as to "who" will be arriving.

What steps are you taking today to see that you will be more peaceful, more loving, more compassionate --in short, more enlightened by week's end?

Little Things.

Play a game. Smile and give every third person you meet today a BIG smile and some warm enthusiasm. Make their day. That's one of the secrets to spiritual success. Make someone else's day better.

Why every third person and why not everyone? Because we are playing a game. If you try this with everyone, you will soon go unconscious again. You will forget. So play the game. You are training your subconscious with a new little habit of cheer.

Remember the lesson of Las Vegas? The slot machines are carefully designed by psychologists to pay out at the rates that make you most likely to continue. Not every time. A little win here, a little win there. It builds your confidence. The process is called fixed variable reinforcement and it is the most powerful behavioural change technique known.

So play a game. Do the little things. Give a smile…every third person…stay aware…don't forget!

Have some main course salads this week. Every fourth meal. Take whatever you are eating, your rice, vegetables, beans, chicken potatoes or fish, and cut them small, and put them into a nice green salad. You WILL lost weight, and you'll feel more spiritually fit.

Smile BIG at every third person… even if it is a phone contact. Smile through the phone.

Little things.
